When is it not an amazing morning in SFO! Don’t tell the locals, but I went and did the touristy sunrise-at-the-Golden-Gate-Bridge thing (which I would still go and see if I lived there) and found myself on the tail end of 7am on a Saturday morning. Yikes, how rough… Time for the modern hunter-and-gatherer in me to seek out some good coffee and food to jump start my day.

Found this husband-and-wife ran establishment via the Chefs Feed app. Shannon and Kate Amitin serves their honest vision of farm-to-table. The food is well priced, fresh and prepared well. The 280+/- sq ft establishment has but one communal table that seats 8, and the food on their board constantly changes, so check their website or tweets for that day’s offering before venturing over. Short of a dietary restriction, I strongly doubt you’ll find anything bad.

My favorite eats was their homemade cereal. Love it! The combination of hearty crunch, juicy fruit, and creamy/sweetness from the yogurt/honey combination, is truly lovely. If I had that at the house, I would be more inclined to eating a healthier breakfast daily.

While driving through the North Hampton / Amherst, I passed by this interesting looking house who had been converted into a restaurant. Upon looking online at their menu, it looked quite promising and decided to stop by for a bite. Little did I know, this would become one of my favorite restaurants in the Western Mass area. Also, if you’re a big localvore, you’ll be pleased to know that there is references to the likes of 44 different local farms!!

If there was one dish that I favored and if you are in the area, please please please do yourself a favor and try it out. Mini Mason Jar with Housemade Ricotta and Local Honeycomb. Absolutely delicious. A cool smooth ricotta with a textured honeycomb on a warm toast. Holy smokes is it amazing!

Been wanting to come here for a while actually. It was one of the first places that caught my eyes while using the Chefs Feed app.But a really fun atmosphere with a sophisticated touch; great date place! That night I went with a small group and originally had a reservation for 9:30 on a Thursday, but decided to try our luck to get an earlier table. Was told that for busier nights it’s required to check-in with the bartender and check-in we did! Were able to snag a row of three stools around 8:45 and commenced our gastro-tour through some wonderful dishes. Favorite dish would definitely have to be Clam Chowder! Had some good bowls of the stuff, but this place’s chowder was wonderful! The biscuit was freaking impressive as well! Flaky as if it were rolled of filo dough and that little bit of honey was a nice touch. Besides the amazing decor, the service there was the best I’ve had in a while. Constant changing of utensils after each course, never had an empty water glass and the bartender Andrew was super friendly and helpful; learned a fun fact that the Wild Balon are unable to be farmed but must be harvested in the wild instead. A great time!
